Stacey Styles
Stacey Styles has worked independently as a restorer of violins, violas, and cellos since 1995. Ms. Styles is located in Holyoke, MA, in the Connecticut River Valley. She particularly likes a challenging restoration project but also enjoys the balance and insight afforded by working directly with musicians in fine adjustments for tone and performance.
Ms. Styles has studied advanced techniques in the UK and the US. She was a guest speaker at the 2017 Violin Society of America convention, with a related article to be published in the May 2018 issue of Strad Magazine. She is a member of the American Federation of Violin Makers, the British Violin Making Association, and the Violin Society of America.
Ms. Styles credits Hans J. Nebel, with whom she studied for many years, for instilling a high standard of excellence in restoration, and a deep appreciation for a finely honed edge.
